This model existed until recently only as a sketch and now is presented as a finished product. GTI Roadster concept is the product of the work of three young Volkswagen engineers. Under the hood is a powerful 3.0L twin-turbo engine, which is supposed to represent the next generation VR6 engine. This engine is brand new and Volkswagen currently working on them. These engines should that debuted in the next few years in many Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda and Audi models. VW GTI engine roadster is developing 496 hp and 559 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm and the power is transmitted to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of up to 300 km / h.
VW GTI roadster concept release date
VW GTI Roadster can not be expected in a production before the year 2018. Volkswagen has announced that the GTI Roadster supposed to be the inspiration for the new company roadster, which would be sold under the Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche tags. While this does not happen this car can be seen only in the Gran Turismo computer game.
