Years of speculation that Toyota is preparing a successor Supra sports car could prove to be true after the Japanese manufacturer unveiled in Detroit design studio FT1. Toyota has managed to keep secret its latest concept sports car to the premiere at the Detroit Motor Show . The Toyota FT1 concept is designed in a design studio CALTY Design Research in California . According to people in the Toyota label ” FT ” refers to the term ” Future Toyota ” , while the number ” 1 ” should be associated with the highlights of this car.
However , Toyota has said it is now in terms of concept with no real power , adding that the study was designed so that the drive unit of high performance , located forward , while the power is transmitted to the rear wheels.
