New Kia K9 is coming to US as 2016 Kia K900. This is a new sedan car from Korean carmaker and it will replace Opirus after few years of existence. North American countries, US and Canada changed original name from K9 to K900 because K9 is a name for police dogs. However, the 2016 K9 or K900 is a first rear-wheel drive vehicle from Korean manufacturer. It shares platform named BH-L, with Hyundai Genesis. The K900 is a futuristic and neat sedan, with excellent performance and styling.
2016 Kia K900 redesign
This sedan will have modest design innovations, since most of its features we had a chance to see on other Kia cars. However, grille is standard, seen on many other vehicles, while roof and hood lines are somehow unique. Lights are refreshed, with LED lights installed. However, overall appearance should be interesting for younger buyers, especially for its attractive look. Inside 2016 Kia K900 is elegant and some materials give sophisticated elements. Wood, matte and leather are all included in upholstery and equipment placed inside the cabin of the 2016 K900. Updated infotainment system and climate can be controlled from central dashboard. Seats, shift knob and steering wheel are wrapped in leather.
2016 Kia K900 engine
Drivetrain for 2016 Kia K900 won’t be changed from the unit inside current model. Base models in US will get 5.0-l V8 powertrain only, while Japanese buyers have a V6 option. A V8 is capable to deliver 420 horsepower with direct injection. It also gives 376 lb-ft of torque. Smaller, 3.8-l V6, produces 311 hp. It is still unknown if hybrid model could arrive in 2016. Mileage shouldn’t be changed a lot from current 15/23 mpg for V8. A V6 offers 19/28 mpg rate for city and highway drive.
2016 Kia K900 price
