Hyundai Veloster is compact comeback which was originally launched in 2011. It is a sporty compact car designed mainly for young drivers. Although testing mule that was spotted recently is still almost completely camouflaged, it is for sure that 2016 Hyundai Veloster will look very futuristic. Beside new 18-inch rims that are probably the only visible part of new model, all other details we can only presume. However, we expect that 2016 Veloster will be designed in the same design language as other new models from this Korean car maker. For example, it is expected that front fascia will be designed in the same manner as Elantra, which basically means new grille, new headlights and front bumper. Exact details about 2016 Veloster’s powertrain are still unknown. However, it is expected that current engine will remain, but with some improvements both in power and fuel economy. Current model is available in two variants. Standard model is powered by 1.6 liter inline-four engine that makes 138 horses, while more powerful version uses the same engine but with turbocharger. This model outputs 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of max torque. Standard models come with 6-speed manual, automatic or EcoShift dual-clutch transmission, while turbocharged model uses 6-speed manual or 6-speed Shiftronic automatic gearbox.

The 2016 Hyundai Veloster will come in early 2015. Price is expected to stay in the same range, which means that base 2016 Veloster will go around 18.000 dollars, while better equipped models could go up to 25.000 dollars.
