MDX is a mid-size luxury crossover, originally launched by Honda’s luxury division Acura in 2000, as successor of SLX. So far, this car passed through three generations. The actual model was presented last year as 2014 year model, so it is very easy that there will not be many changes for 2016 Acura MDX. It is not time for some mid-cycle refresh yet, so expect this crossover to have pretty much identical characteristics as current model. Facelift and some other modifications are planned for 2017 year model.
2016 Acura MDX details
As we said, 2016 MDX will come with similar characteristics as current model. It will be recognizable by Acura’s Jewel Eye LED Headlights and LED bumper mounted fog lamps. Great thing about this crossover is its body structure. Just like current model, most of the 2016 Acura MDX will be made of extra light-weight materials. To be more precise, 2/3 of the structure is made of high strength steel (HSS), aluminum and magnesium, which provides massive weight savings, compared to previous-generation model. This new model also features much better aerodynamics, so overall performances are on the highest level. The 2016 MDX will be able to accommodate seven passengers. Its cabin will be very spacious and luxurious, so you should not care about comfort. In addition, this crossover is equipped with plenty of hi-tech features, which makes journeys even more pleasant.
