The Subaru company has made its vehicle for next couple of years. At the Los Angeles car show they unveiled a brand new concept, which should be competitor and answer to already launched Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Ford Fusion. Redesigned 2015 Subaru Legacy will be company’s brand in sedan market. The 2015 Legacy will celebrate its quarter of century mark since first appearance.
2015 Subaru Legacy engine
There are many powertrain options mentioned in talks about 2015 Subaru Legacy. Since there is no official statement or information from company, we can assume that New Legacy will use some of the current engines as its drivetrain. First model that could borrow its engine to the 2015 Subaru Legacy is SUV vehicle of the year 2014 – Subaru Forester. Its engine is turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four. Other option is hybrid, taken from 2011 Subaru Advanced Tourer. This engine is 1.6-liter flat-four electric motor with lithium-ion battery. All-wheel drive will be standard on the 2015 Legacy, which is confirmed from company. There is also rumor about development of the Subaru vehicles with diesel-hybrid powertrain. It is expected to be used soon, but it is not clear yet when. Maybe 2015 Legacy will be the first carrier of diesel and electric combination.
2015 Subaru Legacy redesign
For a 25th anniversary of production, 2015 Subaru Legacy will be redesigned. It is probable that 2015 Legacy will use patterns from Subaru’s WRX concept. That means that Legacy will have LED lights on the back, four large exhaust tips on the rear splitter and two vertical rectangular exhaust tips protruding from the rear bumper. Exterior features will also be 21-inch wheels, slim side mirrors and lack of door handles. Those are things we could saw at the LA car show. It is prone to changes, since there is enough time for additions and corrections.
2015 Subaru Legacy price
Price will be one of the main advantages of the 2015 Legacy. Cost of the previous model from 2014 is $21,000. There are no big changes in design, so we can expect price near the one for its predecessor. Price of its main competitors, 2014 Toyota Camry and 2014 Honda Accord is somewhere about $22,000 and AWD Ford Fusion is no less than $33.000.
