Chrysler’s recently established performance brand, SRT, is currently proving with the new Viper model, but will need the help of a few other models. The next model will arrive in the form of a new 2015 Barracuda. The original Cuda was the product of Plymouth, who was recently shut down. However, 2015 marked the Barracuda as a model to be born again but under the sign of the SRT brand, as a replacement for the Dodge Challenger, a vehicle whose architecture, based on a decade old Mercedes E-class is long outdated.

Stringent environmental standards will lead Chrysler to reach for smaller engines. Fiat Tigershark 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine could be used as the base version, with the addition Chryslerovog Pentastar V6 3.6 liter engine with direct injection. Engine performance enthusiasts can expect a Hemi V8 engine installation, with the possible volumes of 5.7 or 6.4 liters.

Dangerous and sharpened, the new 2015 SRT Barracuda will certainly manage better in inducing rivals from Ford and Chevrolet, than it could Challenger.
