Fully redesigned, the 2015 Yukon will keep its traditional architecture. Body on frame platform is base structure of another GMC vehicle – 2015 Sierra. Earlier designed, Sierra’s styling lines could be seen on the Yukon. Some of the similar features are new grille and full-width bumper. With new, modern fenders, and the side of the wheel, which are newly sculpted, Yukon becomes more aerodynamic, both on performance side and look.
Using of modern technologies and new materials, overall weight of the 2015 GMC Yukon will be dropped by 250 pounds. New hood and panels will help with diet, but new features and add-ons will dismiss those effects.

New technologies are used inside the 2015 Yukon. Some of the features which could be found inside the vehicle are a power liftgate, a standard center airbag between the driver and passenger, active cruise control, blind-spot warning, forward collision alert. Extra features will be added to Denali models, and highlighted is an adaptive suspension.
Also, GMC paid attention on quality of other parts, so we’ll have improved dash and door panels, upholstery will be covered by leather, new 8-inch touchscreen display will be set in the center to control all software apps.
2015 GMC Yukon engine
Base models of the 2015 GMC Yukon will be packed with new 5.3-liter V8. Direct injection and cylinder deactivation will give this vehicle boost in power and fuel economy. This engine has an output of 350 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque through 6-speed automatic gearbox. Transmission is equipped with tow/haul mode and automatic grade braking function. Another engine option will be added to the 2015 Yukon Denali model. Bigger and more powerful 6.2-l V8 engine will be capable of producing 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Towing limit for the new Yukon will be 8500 pounds.

Arrival of the 2015 Yukon is expected in mid-2015. Base price should be around $42.000. Of course, additional packages will raise this tag, and also, Denali model will be more expensive.
