Acura’s old model vehicle TL will be a model for a new sedan which company is planning to launch. New powertrains, transmission and design will upgrade current to the 2015 Acura TLX. Sales drop for TL model rang a alarm for Acura’s managers. They responded with new car which will replace out-of-time looking TL. The 2015 Acura TLX will be mid-size sedan, placed between compact ILX and the full-size RLX. Prototype was presented at car show in Detroit. However, there is enough time for modifications before final premiere. Also, there is possible another newbie from Acura by the end of the year as TSX car could be released.

The 2015 Acura TLX comes as new model. Prototype is presented in Detroit and as far as we can see, rumors and leaked information came true. The 2015 TLX prototype is 3.9 inches shorter than its predecessor TL, and overall length of its wheelbase is 109.3 inches. Led fuses on the side provide glow around the mirror’s bottom edge. New TLX seems very luxurious which is boosted by 20-inch alloy wheels.

Interior features will also be updated, but on the other hand, few things will be kept from current TL model. Even that 2015 Acura TLX lost few inches in length, it hasn’t lost in cabin volume. The TLX for 2015 will be good for five passengers. Cabin should be quieter with use of the new active noise cancellation. Some of other features included in the 2015 TLX are lane keeping systems, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitors.

Base models of the 2015 Acura TLX will be offered with direct-injection 2.4-liter I-4. For better performance, Acura have prepared other drivertain – 3.5-liter V-6. Eventhough concept of the new TLX was presented, performance details are still unconfirmed and unknown. We expect FWD as a standard, but also could be offered with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. The I-4 engine will be mated to eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, but another option will be nine-speed automatic transmission for V-6. Manual gearbox won’t be installed in Acura’s vehicles before release of the TLX V-6 SH-AWD 6M model.
