Ford to offer introduces a new version of Transit Custom commercial vehicles with high roof , which offers 20 percent more volume than the low roof versions . The new version is designed for a wide array of customers, including the construction sector and courier services, and has a 370 mm greater amount of cargo space with the distance from the floor to the roof of 1.78 meters and has a maximum displacement up to 8.3 cubic meters. Version with high roof also offers greater durability roofing that is made from composite materials and allow the installation of a roof rack with a maximum load of 100 pounds.
” This is really Transit Custom Plus – economical and durable than versions with a low roof , and also provides additional capacity for freight ,” said David Gregory , chief program engineer for the Ford Transit Custom in Europe .
Shipping new 2013 Transit Custom high roof will begin in Europe later in the 2013th years, customers have the option to order the same comprehensive options and the version with a low roof , including short and long wheelbase and a wide range of the total weight of the vehicle and powertrain . The 2013 Custom Transit high roof will be available with bodywork variants outside the van. Functionality of cargo space is achieved through the side doors with wide opening that allows access laden Euro pallets , as well as the ability to carry three Euro pallets loaded with the approach of vehicles and the short and long wheelbase .
